Students, Applicants and Families:

The Professional Driving School Association met last week with the DOL and private driving schools to discuss re-opening.  The Governor has upgraded Private Driving Schools to be included as “Higher Education” and “Important Infrastructure” so we will be eligible to resume business. The reopening process will need to be implemented before we can officially open our doors. We are all anxious to get back to the new normal and we will be working diligently to at least meet the requirements set forth by the Governor, if not to exceed them. We respectfully ask for your patience during this process, the safety of our students, families and staff are our main concern, as always.

Only one student and one instructor will be allowed in a vehicle.  No family or interpreters will be allowed.  Cars will be wiped down between every student. Instructors will wear a mask and gloves. Customers are also required to wear mask and gloves. Windows must be kept rolled down enough to allow airflow.

The following mandates are to be followed:

  • All customers must wear face masks and gloves, also please bring a pen as well as your permit or drivers license, or you will be required to reschedule if all of the provisions are not met.
  • The Instructor or Examiner will check your temperature before proceeding.
  • Examinations or training will not be provided to a student if exhibiting symptoms of illness.
  • Customers cannot be in the “High-Risk” category set forth by the Governor’s office.
  • Only Students or Applicants will be allowed inside the office.  Friends or family will have to wait in their vehicles or socially distanced outside
  • Customers are not allowed to congregate in or around the office and must maintain a 6 foot physical distancing at all times (exception within the training car)
  • Customers will remain in their vehicle until the Instructor gives the signal to approach the vehicle and wait until the other customers are a safe distance away.
  • Only the Instructor and the Student or the Examiner and the Examinee are allowed inside the vehicle at a time.

Thank you for your patience and kindness through this!!!
